There are SIX(6) training courses available, which are:
1. CRO ER (CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE) TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT
Course Methodology
Target Audience
The target group for CRO ER assessment is personnel who have been deemed ready by their employer to be formally assessed in the role of a CRO during an emergency.
Objectives
- Demonstrate knowledge and assess critical situations within the working area.
- React appropriately to assist with their control Identify and take actions required to make the situation safe within limits of authority.
- Demonstrate the coordination of responses to emergencies.
- Demonstrate the correct communication procedures in responding to any emergencies.
- Demonstrate the recording of critical information accordance to standards.
2. OTS (OPERATOR TRAINING SIMULATOR) TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT
An Operator Training Simulator (OTS) is a computer-based system designed to stimulate the operation of a particular machines or process. It is used to train operators how to operate the equipment or process safely and effectively and can include both physical and virtual components.
Course Methodology
This is a 3-day assessment. This course will be presented in English. The course delivery format will be a combination of theory and simulation. Course duration may vary depending on the number of participants and mode of training (classroom or virtual).
Target Audience
The target group for OTS assessment are operators in oil and gas industry.
Objectives
One of the primary goals of operator training simulators is to improve safety by allowing operators to learn and practice new skills in a controlled environment without the risk.
3. OIM MME ( OFFSHORE INSTALLATION MANAGER MANAGEMENT OF MAJOR EMERGENCIES) TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT
This assessment course is to assess participants knowledge and skills they need as an Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) in managing of major emergencies. Oil and gas installation managers must be able to assess situations accurately and respond accordingly to ensure the effectiveness to provide emergency response. Participants will be stimulated using a process simulator and take part in a simulated incident.
Course Methodology
This is a 4-day assessment. This course will be presented in English. The course delivery format will be a combination of theory and simulation. Course duration may vary depending on the number of participants.
Target Audience
The target group for a current OIM, deputy or potential duty holders requiring official assessment and certification in managing or controlling emergency.
Objectives
- Maintain a state of readiness.
- Assess situation and take effective action.
- Maintain communication.
- Delegate authority to act.
- Manage individual and team performance.
- Deal with stress in self and others.
4. ECT (EMERGENCY COORDINATION TEAM) TRAINING AND DRILL
The course aim is to provide theoretical and practical training in the management of emergency situations.
Course Methodology
- Able to perform the role as member of ECT.
- Role of duty manager.
- Role of discipline support.
- Roles of ECT core member (Recorder, Site Contact, Logistic, HR, HSE)
Target Audience
All the members of the Emergency Coordination Team who are entrusted with responsibilities to effectively manage emergency situation and to safeguard personnel. Examples, Operations Managers, HSE Managers, Offshore Installation Managers, all discipline support team represented in the organisation (HR, IT, Wells, Logistic, Medical, HSE etc..)
Objectives
- Able to perform the role as member of ECT.
- Demonstrate knowledge on the role of ECT.
- Familiarised themselves with the latest emergency response plan, procedures and emergency control centre set-up of organisation.
- Identify the role of mutual aid and third party resources available to be called upon if so required during emergency situation.
- Demonstrate the correct communication procedures and sequential in responding to any emergency, including timely updating the CMT.
- Demonstrate the duty team's proper "stand down" process after the emergency situation has been normalised.
5. CMT (CRISIS MANAGEMENT TEAM) TRAINING AND DRILL
The course aim is to provide theoretical and practical training in the management of emergency situations that escalate to crisis.
Course Methodology
- Role and responsibilities of Crisis Management Team.
- Role of Duty Crisis Management Team Leader.
- Role of core support team (HR Support, Media/Spokeperson/ Telephone Responder, HSE Coordinator).
Target Audience
All members of Crisis Management Team who are entrusted with responsibilities to effectively manage crisis situation and to safeguard personnel. Examples, Duty Leaders, all the members of the CMT, as reflected in the organisation’s CMT.
Objectives
- Able to perform the role as member of CMT.
- Demonstrate knowledge on the role of emergency and crisis management team.
- Familiarised themselves with the latest emergency response policy and crisis management plan and emergency control centre set-up of organisation.
- Identify the role of mutual aid and third party resources available to be called upon if so required during crisis situation.
- Demonstrate the correct communication procedures and sequential in responding to any crisis, including the adherence to all relevant authorities requirement.
- Demonstrate the duty team's proper "stand down" process after the crisis has been normalised.
6. RRT (RELATIVE RESPONSE TEAM) TRAINING AND DRILL
The course aim is to provide theoretical and practical training in the management of emergency situations that escalate to crisis. The purpose of a Relative Response Team is to receive calls from members of the public in relation to the incident and provide the latest confirmed information to the families of those involved.
Course Methodology
This is 1-day training. This course that will be presented in English. Course delivery format will be a combination of lectures and desktop exercises.
Target Audience
All members of Relative Response Team who are entrusted with the responsibilities.
Objectives
- Able to perform the role as member of RRT.
- Demonstrate knowledge on the role of RRT.
