TAS Institute of Oil & Gas was established in 2008 as the first oil and gas institute in Sabah, offering specialized training programmes for oil and gas operations technicians. Since its inception, the institute has successfully trained numerous operations technicians through its core programmes, the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Specialist Diploma in Oil & Gas Facilities, across four disciplines specifically tailored for the oil and gas industry.

CONTROL ROOM OPERATIONS (CRO)
To equip students with the knowledge and practical skills required to operate and monitor oil and gas production systems from a central control room. The programme focuses on process monitoring, safety procedures, troubleshooting, and the use of computerized Distributed Control Systems (DCS). Graduates are prepared to support safe and efficient operations in oil and gas facilities while meeting industry standards and operational targets.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING OPERATIONS
To equip students with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to work with electrical systems in the oil and gas industry. The programme covers electrical installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment used in industrial facilities. It also emphasizes safety standards and operational practices to ensure reliable and efficient electrical systems in oil and gas operations.
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING OPERATIONS
To equip students with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to operate, inspect, and maintain mechanical equipment used in oil and gas operations. The programme focuses on the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and engines. It also emphasizes safe work practices and efficient mechanical operations to support the reliability of oil and gas facilities.
INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING OPERATIONS
To equip students with the knowledge and practical skills required to install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation systems used in oil and gas operations. The programme focuses on the measurement and control of process variables such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level. It also emphasizes the importance of process control systems and safety practices to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.
BTEC AND OPITO TRAINING OFFERED
